Using The Bullet Journal as a Creative Outlet

The original bullet journal was a super simplistic analog system for keeping track of tasks, appointments, and thoughts. It was simply an organizational tool and didn’t need anything fancier than a notebook and a pen.

But because the basic idea is so simple and beautiful, it lends itself to many creative upgrades.

If you are the creative type, it is easy to use your notebook as an art journal in addition to keeping track of your daily tasks. If you enjoy drawing or practicing handwriting, consider using your bullet journal as a daily creative outlet. It doesn’t have to be perfect!

  • Add a little drawing or try out a pretty new font.
  • Get out your water colors and create pretty backgrounds.
  • Glue in ticket stubs or print out pictures to stick in.
  • Stickers and washi tape can go just about anywhere.
  • Use stamps or stencils if you need a little creative help.

Your bullet journal can be a great creative outlet. Check out this list of beautiful and amazing bullet journal supplies #bujo #bulletjournalsupplies #workathomemomorganization

How creative you get with your journal is entirely up to you and the mediums you use are almost endless. If you find it fun and helpful, go for it!

Most importantly, don’t be afraid to experiment or mess up. It’s your journal after all and there’s beauty in imperfection.

Don’t forget about the creative opportunities the cover pages of your journals offer. Try out some decoupage, sew a custom cover, or get out that washi tape collection to give your bullet journal a personal touch. I used washi tape and stickers on the cover of my latest business bujo.

If you need a little creative inspiration, I’ve rounded up some amazing and fun bullet journal supplies. From notebooks to washi tape and everything in between. Take a look and get ready to swoon!

About Me

I am lucky enough to be mother to three awesome children, ages 7, 5 and 1. I am crazy enough to try and run an online business or two. I have started five businesses in the last 10 years. Some of them were very successful, (I even sold one!) and others were total failures. I currently work as a VA and run this blog. Read More…
